“While I was doing the experiment with the cornmeal and the water,
I realized that I was able to make Ooblek. At that moment, many questions
came to my mind such as, what’s really the Oobleck? I know it has to do with
the chemical composition of the water and the cornmeal, and it is also the transition of
liquid mix ( water and solid cornmeal), but I ask myself, would the temperature
of the water affect the reaction?
I think it was very fun to do this activity, but I would like to know
how it happens, and how the mix stays as Oobleck for some seconds.
Are there any more products around the house (that I could use) that could
also work to make Oobleck? Thank you for this educational cartoon.”
